Pennsylvania Mountain Laurel
Shot one morning when out walking in the tiny village of Migliandolo in Piemonte, Italy. The hazy sun made the flowering tree seem to glow, and the line of buildings on the top of the ridge made a fine background. Since this was shot into the sun (which, come to think of it means it was shot in the evening! Oh well - the title stands as it is - I've always liked alliteration) I used the only coated lens I had with me. The shot was hand held, and exposed with the focal plane shutter.
