Description: I still adhere to the traditional photographic processes both for image capture (film) and printing. Negative films are preferred for their broader sensitivity range.

My goal is to preserve the integrity of the image as it is captured in the camera. I am not interested in making excessive image manipulations.

I initially used 4x5 cameras from the mid 50s to the early 60s, preforming all of my darkroom work (I still do). I then migrated over to 35mm until 7 years ago when I reintroduced myself to LF.

This past winter was not good for large format opportunities in Southwestern Colorado. Over 80 inches of snow and three months of subzero and freezing temperatures left a four-foot snow pack on the ground. No place to set a tripod except in the roadways. The plows created snow banks so high that they blocked the good sight lines.

Hence it was a good time to concentrate on tabletop photography ... still life if you will ... buy flowers at the supermarket and experiment with lighting, different compositions, tight depth of field and varying color arrangements.
