Powerscourt Waterfall
Description: I thought it might be interesting to see the effects of a Rotary Glazing Machine on Fiber Based Glossy Paper.
Since fixer can be transferred to the conveyor belt, which can then contaminate subsequent prints, glazing using this machine is not considered to be part of an archival printing method. Perhaps some of you could send me an email in a hundred years time, and let me know how the print is getting on…

I remember seeing these machines in labs in the late 1970's, but they were already obsolete by this time.

This one was donated by a lecturer in Photography in the Dublin Institute of Technology; it had belonged to his grandfather, and looks to be in perfect condition. I find it impossible to achieve the perfect mirror glazed finish, however- and I don't know anyone who might hold the secrets to achieving it.
